Afternoon Tea at Bårdshaug Herregård

Experience Afternoon Tea at Bårdshaug Herregård in historic surroundings.

One Saturday each month, except for July, we warmly invite you to our popular Afternoon Tea in the beautiful, historic rooms of Bårdshaug Manor. Here, you’ll experience an authentic British tradition that Queen Maud introduced to Norway in 1905, and which Christian Thams carried on through his elegant tea parties at the manor.

Experience Local Cuisine and Historic Surroundings
Our hosts keep the tradition alive by adding a unique twist to Afternoon Tea, using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. The menu always includes filled finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with homemade jam and clotted cream, and a selection of homemade tarts, cakes, and sweet treats.

Our Afternoon Tea menu is updated regularly to reflect the finest local ingredients each season has to offer. We take pride in collaborating with local producers to bring you the best our region has to offer. Every month, you can look forward to a new and exciting twist on this classic serving.
