On the last Saturday of every month, Bårdshaug Herregård invites you to Afternoon Tea in the manor’s historic rooms. Learn more about this British tradition that Queen Maud brought to the royal palace in 1905, and which Christian Thams continued through his tea parties at Bårdshaug Manor.
Today’s hosts at Bårdshaug Manor continue this British tradition as we invite you to our regular Afternoon Tea service in the manor’s historic rooms. This takes place on the last Saturday of every month (except July and December) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the last seating at 2:00 PM.
We aim to elevate the dining experience to historic heights for our guests and offers our own local twist on this classic service. Filled finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with homemade jam and fresh cream, homemade tarts, cakes, and sweets are always featured on our Afternoon Tea menu, regardless of the season.
Recently, Bårdshaug Manor has partnered with Gravraak Teateliér to serve their exquisite teas during our Afternoon Tea. Gravraak Teateliér is a workshop in Trondheim, where Master Tea Blender Hanne Charlotte Heggberget carefully blends tea with knowledge and care. She collaborates with tea farmers and tea masters from around the world, often incorporating wild Trøndelag plants.
