The christmas time at Bårdshaug Herregård offers a range of experiences for both young and old. Each year, from mid-November, the hotel is filled with a cozy and warm christmas atmosphere, nostalgic scents of traditional Christmas food and homemade pastries, and enjoyable conversations among guests with relaxed shoulders and a calm pulse. We can offer advantageous prices on accommodation in connection with booking a table at Restaurant Ministeren, hosting events in festsalen or the manor on weekends leading up to christmas.
Christmas menus at Bårdshaug Herregård
This year's Christmas menus are offered both in Herregården and in Festsalen from Friday, November 15, 2024, until Saturday, December 14. Each party can choose between a 3-course traditional menu (including two servings of the main course) or a 5-course Christmas party menu featuring the season's finest ingredients. Of course, we also open Jaktbaren for further celebration and fun into the late hours of the night.

Welcome to our traditional family Christmas tables at Bårdshaug Manor. The buffet is set in Christmas-decorated surroundings inside the hotel. We serve hot Christmas dishes, a large cold buffet with homemade and local delicacies, a dessert table, and coffee/tea.
Our family christmas parties are a great opportunity to enjoy a hearty pre-Christmas dinner with friends and family here at charming Bårdshaug Herregård.
Our buffet is available from 14:00 to 17:00, where we reserve tables for you either inside Restaurant Ministeren or in our beautiful banquet hall.

Travelling to Bårdshaug Herregård
Orkanger is located along the E39 highway, and is a central hub in the region. It is a 30 minutes’ drive away from Trondheim, Løkken, Lensvik, Kyrksæterøra, Melhus and the E6 near Klett. The distance from Trondheim Airport Værnes is approximately one hour. From Røros, Oppdal and Hitra it will take you a couple of hours by car. Travelling by public transport? The hotel is a two minute walk from Orkanger bus station. From here there are frequent bus services to and from Trondheim. See ATB for bus schedules.
