80% Chef position

We are looking for a chef for an 80% position to join our kitchen team at Bårdshaug Herregård, where our menus and concepts align with the promises of the Trøndersk Food Manifesto. The hotel has a strong focus on local food from Orkland and the surrounding region, and therefore, we prepare and present high-quality dishes. We are proud ambassadors of the culinary profession, committed to delivering excellent food and service.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Breakfast buffet
  • Meeting food
  • À la Carte
  • Banquet menus and other menus for Special Occasions
  • Homemade baked goods and cakes
  • Assist with serving and presentation of menus as needed
  • plating, scrubbing, and cleaning

Desired Qualifications:

  • You have a passion for food and drink.
  • You have knowledge of ingredients and an understanding of various allergies and diets.
  • You have experience in the kitchen.
  • You are hardworking and like to get things done.
  • You can handle hectic days where changes may occur on short notice.
  • You wish to promote regional ingredients and food culture.

Hotel guests should experience quality and good hospitality, which in turn results in great guest experiences. This should be carried out in a way that ensures a good, developing, and safe work environment where everyone is seen, valued, accepted, and respected. The sum of these efforts will ensure the hotel’s profitability.

  • A reverse interview with one of our chefs.
  • A 6-week rolling basic schedule with day and afternoon/evening shifts of 7-8 hours.
  • Good bus connections to and from Trondheim, where our chefs rarely clock out after 10:00 PM.
  • Vacation during Easter, Christmas, and New Year when the hotel and Restaurant Ministeren are closed.
  • Salary by agreement, based on the current collective agreement + additional compensation for your expertise, personal suitability, and work experience
