What will your responsibilities and duties be?
As the Assistant Head Chef and Deputy to the Head Chef, you will be part of the department’s daily leadership. This includes responsibility for specific weekends, as well as a particular (co-)responsibility for training and developing staff, ensuring quality, preparing and presenting high-quality food, and serving as a proud ambassador for the culinary profession.
Together with the Head Chef and other kitchen colleagues, you will develop dishes, menus, and food concepts, while also calculating them in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager. Menus and concepts should align with the promises of the Trøndersk Food Manifesto and the hotel’s focus on local food from Orkland and the surrounding region. You will share responsibility for food safety (IK-food), HACCP, cleaning, order, inventory management, and purchasing
In all aspects of the job, there will be a focus on smart utilization and development of resources at the hotel, ensuring that guests experience quality and great hospitality, leading to excellent guest experiences. This will happen in a way that ensures a good, evolving, and safe working environment where everyone is seen, valued, accepted, and respected. The sum of these tasks will ensure the hotel’s profitability.
