Trygve Skaug, #alltidpåtour / Bårdshaug Herregård

In the spring of 2025, Trygve Skaug once again opens his heart to the world with the release of his new album “Ikke Slipp”.
The title track has already found its way into the light, and Trygve continues his steady rhythm—two albums a year, like a heartbeat, in tune with the times. This is a great joy to his ever-growing audience, who find comfort, strength, and community in his words and melodies—from north to south, from small café stages to grand concert halls.

Skaug is not just a songwriter and musician – he is also one of Norway’s best-selling poets, a voice that whispers, shouts, and embraces. His words pass from hand to hand, shared like secrets in the night, like light in the darkness. His poetry collections “Følg med nå” (2019) and “Ikke Slipp” (2020) alone have found their way into thousands of bookshelves, laps, and hearts. His later works—“Hjemmekamp” (2020), “Opprykk” (2021), “Dikt til navngitte menn” (2022), and “Det går over” (2024)—have also touched readers deeply and topped the sales charts. In an interview with VG, Skaug reflected on his success, saying:
“The fact that people find comfort in my words comforts me as well. My texts are written openly, honestly, and without embellishment. That’s why it hits me so hard when I see that they mean something to others.”

His musical journey in front of audiences began as the vocalist for St. Morritz in 2006. In 2012, he stepped out as a solo artist, and he has been walking that path ever since, releasing ten albums, including a compilation with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) and the trilogy “Sanger du skal få…”.
In 2017, he was nominated for the prestigious Spellemann Award for “Sanger du skal få når jeg dør”, and in 2021 he truly won the hearts of the nation with his appearance on the hit TV show “Hver gang vi møtes”. Later that same year, he was awarded the Bjørg Vik Prize, a tribute to his ability to touch and captivate with words, and to breathe new life into poetry for younger generations through social media and modern communication channels.

In the spring of 2025, Trygve Skaug will once again sling his guitar over his shoulder and hit the road, heading out to meet the #worldsbestaudience—the ones who wait for him, welcome him in, and fill the rooms with anticipation and applause.
“I’ve dusted off a hashtag I used a lot in the years after St. Morritz,” he says. “The truth is, I miss playing all the time. Everywhere. In every corner of the country, on small and big stages, at festivals and cultural centers. So now I’m doing something about it. It’s really that simple.”
With his guitar in the car and his songs in his pocket, he’s setting out again. It will be a warm reunion with #alltidpåtour.
