Welcome to a delightful 5-course game evening at the historic Bårdshaug Herregård.
Our close collaboration with local farms, hunters, and foragers ensures that we have the best seasonal ingredients from the forest, mountains, plains, sea, and farms. High-quality, locally sourced ingredients combined with a historic atmosphere and a skilled kitchen team will provide you with a dining experience beyond the ordinary.
The evening begins with the serving of Norwegian cider as an aperitif, accompanied by an appetizer, before the hosts welcome you to the table.
The game menu for the evening will consist of the following 5 courses:
Capercaillie, pumpkin from Lensvik, Røros sour cream

Moose from Trøndelag, kale and Gelmin from Orkladal Dairy

Our food and beverage manager, Tor Arne, along with skilled colleagues in the service team, will compose excellent wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drink recommendations in collaboration with the kitchen, which can be purchased as an option for this evening.
Looking for a special experience? We offer two experiences that include two seats at the Wild Game Evening, as well as overnight accommodation including breakfast for two in the historic manor of Christian Thams, either in the King’s Room or in Wilhelm August’s chamber.
