Experience Late Afternoon Tea at Bårdshaug Herregård. Enjoy an authentic British tradition with a local twist, surrounded by beautiful historic surroundings.
We invite you to Late Afternoon Tea in the elegant historic lounges of Bårdshaug Herregård. Here, you can experience an authentic British tradition introduced to Norway by Queen Maud in 1905, and later continued by Christian Thams through his refined tea gatherings at the manor.
Experience Local Cuisine in Historic Surroundings
Our hosts keep the tradition alive while adding a unique local touch, using seasonal ingredients sourced from the region. The menu always includes filled finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones served with homemade jam and fresh sour cream, as well as a selection of homemade tarts, cakes, and sweet treats.
Our Afternoon Tea menu is updated regularly to reflect the finest local ingredients each season has to offer. We are proud to collaborate with local producers to provide the very best ingredients our region can offer.

Exclusive Tea from Gravraak Teateliér
We collaborate with Gravraak Teateliér to offer an exclusive selection of teas for our Afternoon Tea experience. Master Tea Blender Hanne Charlotte Heggberget creates unique blends in collaboration with tea farmers and tea masters from around the world, often with a Nordic twist inspired by wild Trøndelag botanicals.
