We are looking for a flexible and independent waiter for banquet service with relevant experience for work related to banquets in the historic manor house, banquets, anniversaries, confirmations, and similar occasions.
What will your responsibilities and duties be?
As a banquet waiter, you will be responsible for preparation, serving, and cleaning up after banquets.
- You will set the tables and prepare the venue before the guests arrive.
- You will greet the guests and ensure the banquet schedule is followed as needed
- You will serve aperitifs
- You will present food and drinks
- You will serve and ensure guests have drinks in their glasses throughout the banquet
- You will upsell pre-drinks and after-dinner drinks, as well as ensure the bill is correct and process payments
- You will provide excellent hospitality to our guests
For larger banquets, you will have one or more of our skilled on-call helpers to assist you, and you will be responsible for them during the execution of the banquet.
What qualifications are we looking for?
- You are good at small talk and can communicate at least well in English. If you also speak a Scandinavian language, it will be a bonus
- You are 20 years old or older due to the serving of alcohol, and have relevant work experience
- Having access to your own car is a significant advantage, as the otherwise good public transport connections to and from Orkanger Bus Station are very limited after 10:00 PM. We of course offer free parking
