We invite you to our popular Afternoon Tea in the beautiful, historic rooms of BÄrdshaug HerregÄrd. Here, you can experience an authentic British tradition introduced to Norway by Queen Maud in 1905, and carried on by Christian Thams through his elegant tea gatherings at the HerregÄrd.
Experience local flavours and historic surroundings
Our hosts keep the tradition alive, adding a unique local touch by using seasonal ingredients from the region. The menu always features filled finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones served with homemade jam and clotted cream, as well as a tempting selection of tarts, cakes, and sweets â all baked in-house.
đ Supporting the Pink Ribbon Campaign
BÄrdshaug HerregÄrd proudly supports the Pink Ribbon Campaign. On October 25, our Afternoon Tea will be themed in honour of this important cause. The pink ribbon is an international symbol of solidarity with those affected by breast cancer, helping to raise awareness and funds for vital research. In Norway, the campaign is organised annually in October by the Norwegian Cancer Society and the Breast Cancer Association.
đ This October, our entire team at BĂ„rdshaug HerregĂ„rd will wear their pink ribbons with pride. For every Afternoon Tea served on October 25, we will donate NOK 100 to the Norwegian Cancer Society and the Pink Ribbon Campaign. In addition, BĂ„rdshaug HerregĂ„rd has contributed a one-time donation of NOK 5,000 to this yearâs campaign.

Exclusive Tea from Gravraak Teateliér
We collaborate with Gravraak TeateliĂ©r in Trondheim to offer an exclusive selection of teas for our Afternoon Tea experience. Master Tea Blender Hanne Charlotte Heggberget creates unique blends in partnership with tea farmers and tea masters around the world â often with a Nordic twist inspired by wild herbs and plants from TrĂžndelag.
